The Cabins

Bobocabin believes that connecting with nature shouldn’t mean compromising on comfort or sleep quality, and they stay true to this principle. Featuring a spacious king-size bed and a private bathroom, these cabins provide all the comfort and security you’ll need. The coolest feature of the cabins is the ability to blur the windows for privacy, and then unblur them to take in the natural views. You can control this with a small screen by your bed or directly from your phone via the Bobocabin app. Additional features include a customizable lightbar across the ceiling, Bluetooth connectivity to play your own music through the cabin’s speakers, and ambient recordings of jungle or river sounds to enhance your connection with nature.

There are 3 different cabins to choose from:

• Deluxe Cabin
• Deluxe Cabin Hot Tub
• Executive Cabin

All cabins come with the same amenities: an outdoor fire pit, window blur feature, ceiling light bar, Bluetooth, and ambient nature sounds. The main difference is that the Executive Cabin accommodates up to 4 adults, while the other two cabins are designed for solo travellers or couples. The other notable difference is that the Deluxe Cabin Hot Tub is the only cabin that has an outdoor bathtub.

Our Experience

Our time spent at Bobocabin was exactly what we needed. After being back to visit family and 3 months of work in Australia, we needed a place to get us back into the Balinese vibe. Once we arrived at Bobocabin we knew we made the right choice. The resort winds through the jungle, down a cliff and through rice terraces, with every step we take bringing us closer to nature. After settling in and unpacking it was time for dinner and we ordered the BBQ hot plate to be delivered to our room. After our delicious dinner, we made quick use of our outdoor hot tub. I think this was the highlight of our stay. As the sun went down and the night darkened, the stars shined bright and one by one, fireflies would appear dancing over the rice terraces and through the jungle, making our night truly magical.

After a restful night’s sleep, we awoke to a gentle rain that only helped to enhance the coziness of our little cabin. Our bed, with a stunning view of the rice terraces just outside our cabin, made for a perfect reading nook to pass the time while we waited for the rain to stop. Eventually, the rain passed and we were able to venture outside and enjoy a nice floating breakfast in our hot tub. Being in the mood to spoil ourselves we booked a massage through Bobocabin. The best part about this massage was that we didn’t even have to leave our room! The two masseuses came to our cabin, set up our bed for the massage and started working on us. It was a heavenly massage lasting 60 minutes.

On our final morning at Bobocabin Ubud, we practiced yoga by the rice terraces, surrounded by the beauty of the lush green rice fields. It’s a refreshing way to start the day, feeling connected to nature and yourself.

As our time at the Bobocabin comes to an end, it’s evident how incredible this retreat has been. The vibrant natural beauty, calming forest sounds, and tranquil surroundings offered a much-needed break. We’ve enjoyed calm sunrises and clear, star-filled nights that made our stay unforgettable. While it’s tough to say goodbye, we’re leaving refreshed and with lasting memories of this serene getaway.

What to Bring

These are items that I would recommend bringing to Bobocabin to make your stay more enjoyable.

1. Bring warm clothes. The location of Bobocabin being in between the jungles and rice terraces makes for a surprisingly cool area. During the night we never had to use our air conditioning and we found ourselves wearing jeans and long-sleeved shirts when outside.
2. Bring sunscreen and mosquito repellant. Sunscreen during the day is a must in the hot Bali sun and the mosquitos come out at dusk. Bring some mosquito repellant or wear long-sleeved pants and shirts to avoid being bitten. 
3. Bring backpacks instead of suitcases. To access several areas you will need to go down some fairly steep stairs. Having a backpack will make the short but steep stairs to your cabin a lot easier. If all you’re travelling with is a suitcase then the staff will help you carry your luggage to your cabin. Be sure to tip them for their hard work! The cabins are also a little small so opening up two big suitcases is a bit of a challenge.
