Dian Cafe is a hidden gem in Canggu. Tucked away from the busy main street, Dian Cafe overlooks a rice field and serves both Indonesian food and Western dishes.
The menu consists of Mexican, Italian, Thai and Indonesian specialties, as well as rice bowls that cost between $2-$3.
Warung Local is a buffet-style Indonesian café offering a wide selection of Indonesian dishes. If you enjoy trying different foods then this place is for you.
The price ranges from $2-$4 depending on your selection and portion size.
The cafe is quite small and it does get very busy around dinner time so plan to arrive here around 5-6 pm.
Kopikota is located in the rice fields of Canggu, but only a short walk from the main road. This cute little restaurant serves up a variety of cuisines and has something to satisfy any craving, whether you’re looking for local or international flavours.
The price ranges from $2-$5 per meal. Mie Goreng which is a traditional Indonesian fried noodle dish costs only $1 here.
If you’re craving authentic Indian food, Nu Dheli is the place. Nu Dheli serves all your favourite dishes, including Chicken Tikka Masala, Panir Makhni, and Butter Chicken. They also offer a variety of vegetarian dishes as well as vegan options!
Nu Dheli is open every day and is located on the main road of Canggu (Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong).
The price ranges from $3-$5 per dish.
Casa Tua is not only aesthetically pleasing but the food here is delicious!
It’s a wonderful spot to go for a meal, offering traditional Indonesian cuisine with a focus on seafood and fresh ingredients.
This Indonesian Restaurant is nested in a tropical garden and decorated with antiques. The candles, soft lighting, and tropical garden create a cozy ambiance.
Some meals are more than $5 e.g., seafood dishes but there are options to eat for under $5 at Casa Tua.
If you’re looking to eat some tacos, drink some tequila and have a good time then you won’t want to miss Lola’s!
They serve classic Mexican dishes like burritos, enchiladas, nachos, etc. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.
The price ranges from $3 – $6 depending on the dish.
Santorini is a traditional Greek family-run restaurant that serves delicious, authentic Greek cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you’ll feel as if you’ve been transported to Santorini. The Greek-style decor is stunning! The ambiance is casual and relaxing, making it the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family.
On Monday nights they have $2 Gyros! There are also other meals you can find on the menu for around $5.
Opposite Pepitos on Batu Bolong the main road of Canggu is a Santorini Food Stand where they sell Gyros for $2 all the time and not just on Mondays!
For an unforgettable dining experience that combines great food with stunning decor, consider trying one of these upscale restaurants. Although they may be a bit more expensive than other options, the delicious cuisine and atmosphere are sure to make it worthwhile.
Il Goloso Pasta Bar serves homemade fresh pasta that literally melts in your mouth. The best Italian flavours you can imagine.

Woods Pererenan is the best brunch place in Canggu! They have 40+ teas to choose from, and their menu is full of all-day breakfast options. Their selection of Vegan and Vegetarian dishes is nothing short of impressive, and they have some truly unique flavour combinations that will leave your taste buds wanting more.
Their decor evokes the feeling of being in a forest with its surrounding trees and serene atmosphere.
Every Sunday from 1 pm – 3 pm, they have jazzy brunch where you can enjoy eating brunch while listening to live jazz music. Make a reservation in advance here.
Penny Lane is an instagrammable restaurant with unique decor, art pieces, and plants, this open-air venue is sure to impress. Its ambiance is truly inviting!
The restaurant serves Balinese as well as Western dishes, plates to share and signature cocktails. The price ranges from $5 to $12 per meal.
